DNA base flipping by a base pair-mimic nucleoside
On the basis of non-covalent bond interactions in nucleic acids, we synthesized the deoxyadenosine derivatives tethering a phenyl group (X) and a naphthyl group (Z) by an amide linker, which mimic a Watson-Crick base pair. Circular dichroism spectra indicated that the duplexes containing X and Z formed a similar conformation regardless of the opposite nucleotide species (A, G, C, T and an abasi...
متن کاملCombinatorial synthesis of galactosyl-1,3,5-triazines as novel nucleoside analogues.
Herein we report a parallel solid-phase synthesis of 1,3,5-triazine based nucleoside analogues by a three-step substitution, starting from 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine. A library of 80 galactosyl-1,3,5-triazine compounds was prepared in high purity without extensive reaction conditions or tedious purification, suggesting the generality of this method.
متن کاملNovel acyclic nucleoside analogues as inhibitors of HIV-1 RT
Background Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) were the first drugs introduced for treatment of human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) infection. These NRTIs may be cyclic or acyclic analogs of natural nucleosides. Both these analogs interact at active site on HIV-RT and compete with indigenous nucleosides/ nucleotides, and thus, divert enzyme activity in manmade direction. All ...
متن کاملSynthesis of some novel hydrazono acyclic nucleoside analogues
The syntheses of novel hydrazono acyclic nucleosides similar to miconazole scaffolds are described. In this series of acyclic nucleosides, pyrimidine as well as purine and other azole derivatives replaced the imidazole function in miconazole and the ether group was replaced with a hydrazone moiety using phenylhydrazine. To interpret the dominant formation of (E)-hydrazone derivatives rather tha...
